Plan of Salvation Family Home Evening

Part of our member strengthening work is to train, motivate and recommit member families to read the scriptures daily and hold family home evening weekly. This is another FHE we share with a wonderful family  that just needed the renewed commitment. We all need a reminder from time to time. Repentance is such a wonderful thing! Apply it now and enjoy the blessings.
 

We arrived at the home for family home evening as the sun was setting over the fields.

The family compound begins with parents then the next home is the oldest son, next home is another son and so on until we reach our family.

The father called everyone together and we started with a hymn led by a daughter. All eight children were there and ready for Family Home Evening.

We all gathered in the Pre-mortal world ready to be born into mortality, and read scriptures to help us remember what it was all about.

No lights outside so we used flashlights to help us read

We went to mortality and we each cheered as a new child was born. Then on to the Spirit World, Resurrection, Judgement, and on to our eternal glory

Once we were all reunited in the Celestial Glory we read a few more scriptures and talked of our joy of being an Eternal Family.

Then closing hymn, prayer and most importantly... refreshments. Mom also gives keyboard lessons to this sister. She can now play music in sacrament meeting and in family home evening! They were having fun this evening doing a "duet".

We love the sweet experiences with the Spirit. No matter where we are in the world we feel that same spirit when we do what is right: read the scriptures, pray and keep the commandments. Have you  felt the sweet peace and comfort of the Spirit today?
