Keyboard Training

We had a good weekend with transfers and training leaders on Friday. Saturday we had security bars installed on the upstairs windows, wrote talks for Sunday and went to dinner with the other counselor in the mission presidency. Sunday was block meetings, branch council, more leadership training and keyboard training. When we were done we went home to review the day and think about what worked and what needs improvement.

Mom learned that the Church will provide a limited number of keyboards and training materials to missions so that members can learn to play, then teach others and provide music in the Branches.  This is a great need here. We received six keyboards and have three students now and they each have one or two more in the family that we can involve in the training once these students get established. Mom is a great teacher and keyboard training is no exception.

Rose, Luz (beautiful, tiny sisters) and Mom work on the keyboard. Sounds great!  The Church's keyboard training is so simple and well done that you don't need any experience teaching piano to have success--just willing students!

It's sounding like real music!  Even in the first lesson a student can play a hymn!
